ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN SYSTEMS NEUROSCIENCE – UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA

The Department of Psychology invites applications for an Assistant (tenure track) or Associate Professor (tenured) to start in the Fall 2009 semester. We seek an outstanding scientist with interdisciplinary interest focused at the molecular, cellular or systems level related to understanding cognition in the nervous system. Preference will be given to those with an emphasis on ensemble recordings, molecular approaches to network function, and/or computational neuroscience. The successful candidate will be an outstanding scientist with substantial postdoctoral training, demonstrating promise in his or her research area, and will be expected to establish a vigorous extramurally funded research program. Joint appointments are available in the Arizona Research Laboratories Division of Neural Systems, Memory and Aging, and the Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute. Faculty are expected to participate fully and with distinction in both undergraduate and graduate education.
