The Johns Hopkins Department of Psychiatry, in conjunction with the Department of Neuroscience, is offering 2 year post-doctoral fellowships for training in research at the interface of psychaitry and neuroscience. Fellows are matched to faculty mentors, and focus on research within the laboratory of the mentor. In addition, fellows take courses and attend seminars relevant to their interests at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine or School of Public Health. Topics of research supported by this program are broad, and include pathogenesis of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases, psychiatric genetics, neuroimaging, feeding physiology and eating disorders, substance abuse, pharmacology, neurodevelopment and neuroplasticity, cell and animal models of psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, neuropsychiatry, and bioinformatics.
Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. degree, be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and have a strong commitment to a research career. Physicians completing a psychiatry residency, women, and individuals from under represented minority groups, with disabilities, or from disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
